Signed bronze nude male figure by sculptor Luke Gwilliam. This bronze sculpture depicts a tall slim young man pulling off his tee shirt. He measures 16 and one half inches tall. The base measures 9 inches long by 5 and one quarter inches wide by 1 inch high, and is signed. Luke Guilliam was born in 1911 and died in 1989. Gwilliam joined the New York art scene in 1951 after graduating from Worcester Art Museum when he was forty years old. His paintings were very well received in the 1950 and 1960's,often mentioned in the New York Times exhibit reviews. He was included in museum exhibits at the River Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, the Society of Four Arts, and the Brooklyn Museum.
