Williams page 214 #781. This silvered bronze Penquin measures 135 mm high or 6 and one quarters inches. A highly prized piece of car or automobile memorabilia.

"Car Mascots" were used as hood ornaments and were designed by famous artist. This area of automobile memorabilia is highly prized by collectors. This "Ballot Trumpeter" by "Emile Edmond Peynot" measures six inches high and 8 and one half inches with its stand. See Motoring Mascots of the World page 102 #380 for a similar example.

These antique gargoyle statues measure 12 and one half inches tall and are 6 inches wide and measure 5 and one half inches deep. Each weighs approximately 40 lbs. They retain most of their original paint but do have some areas that were repainted. We are not quite sure what they were used for but are they are antique,quite decorative and were brought back from Austria 25 years ago.

His family settled in Israel in 1951 where he continued his craft. His father was a goldsmith and he supported Oded's talent. His love for bronze comes from watching his father create objects from gold and silver. See "The Common Ground. The Sculpture of Oded Halahmy" by Donald Kuspit and Sundaram Tagore. This is one of his earliest works and is one of only ten made. His work is on display at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery. 137 Greene Street. L'Amour au Papillon is signed and dated 1864 on the back at the base. The artist Joseph Charles de Blezer was born in Ghent, Belgium. He attended the esteemed Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France, studying under the renowned sculptor Jean Baptiste Clesinger. The artist's most well known work was his 1870 bust of American abolitionist John Brown.
